Treis Stewart: How and when were you discovered?
Lyoka Tyagnereva: I was discovered about 1.5 years ago in my home city, St. Petersburg. I was walking down the street and a man came to me me with a question about my height. I looked at him uneasy and was about to continue my walk but he gave me the card. It read "LMA-Lukovsky Model Agency". I knew he is a person who is doing all the fashion shows in the city. So there was no tricks and I called the agency.
TS: What is your favourite thing about the fashion/modeling industry?
LT: The possibility to play different roles, to be different and discover some parts of your personality. And travelling, of course, is not bad addition.
TS: What is something that you dislike about the fashion/modeling industry?
LT: Hair-stylists!!! Nothing personal.
TS: When are you most nervous and what thoughts cross through your mind?
LT: What I worry before stepping on runway about is that the shoes could slip off.
TS: Where is your favourite city to work in and why?
LT: Every place is special and interesting to be in. I can't pick out one city. Probably, NY.
TS: Do you have any beauty secrets that you could share with us?
LT: Beauty is a health, and health is a happiness. So just be positive and optimistic!!!
TS: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
LT: I really don't know. Things are changing so fast in our world - you never knows what's gonna happen tomorrow. I didn't think that I'll be a model 2 years ago after all.
TS: Are you inspired by any other model or public figure?
LT: No.
TS: Besides modeling, what do you like to do?
LT: I love ballroom dances and ice skating. And also just to be in country air.
TS: What are some of your favourite songs or musical artists?
LT: I like many songs and it doesn't depend on the singer. I like Spanish, Italian songs.
TS: Do you have any special or “cool” talents?
LT: I'm dancing ballroom and doing it rather good I think.
TS: Is the modeling industry really as competitive as they say it is, or is that theory just somewhat of an urban myth?
LT: It is. But it's not the competition between the girls like people think, when they put spikes and crashed glass in shoes and so on. It's competitive because there are many girls, but many of them are friends with each other.
