On some pics she looks bland. On other pics, like those Dior ones, I suddenly see 'it'. I still prefer Ymre Stiekema though; similar features, but in a more striking '90s supermodel' version. But I understand that Maartje fits the current modelling trends better. It feels a little bit like a replacement.

I adore Maartje, don't see the bland in pictures. I also adore Ymre, they look a like but I think Ymre is to beautiful, can explain it. Maartje fits better. I felt Juliane Gruner was more Ymres replacement at that time.

Maartje was supposed to walk Givenchy ss 2015 i believe. But her dress got lost. She did get beautiful roses from Tisci.
But does it really matter for a beauty campaign if she walked for them?

Haha I saw this one too. It was just after her opening the Prada show for the first time. Who's laughing now ?
I'm glad she gave the time to her career to explode. She has a good management team behind her. The majority of the girls who started in 2012 like her are no longer doing high fashion.
I can't wait to see what's next for her, maybe another Vogue cover ?
