Nadia is such an amazing editorial with an amazing model and concept. Magda did a really fantastic job, her look is very vintage 80's and she looks super good in spandex! :p

I have to say - as much as I want to like this girl, I just really don't.

She really does look like a mix of Marina Perez and Mariacarla (two girls I love), but something about her proportions seem all wrong. I don't feel like Magda possesses any womanly elegance or poise. She always seems to look awkward on the runway and her print work is hit or miss for me - get her in the right angle and she can look great, get her in a wrong angle and she just looks sloppy. I guess I've always had a real aversion, too, to such narrow shoulders as she has.

this a gorgeous ed:shock:. Her gaze is dripping with intensity & they're oozing with seduction & coyness.

I love it and i'm not even a fan of hers^_^

There’s something about Magda

Barbara Anastacio and Hazel Ong catch an Argentinian in New York on a sunny day.

With thick hair, thick eyebrows and a thick accent, Magda Laguinge is the Argentinian beauty whose eyes are as wide as her smile, and just as smiley. Walking like a supermodel through New York, Magda tells i-D about her hot home country, her go with the flow feeling and her journey into model world.
How did you get scouted? I was scouted when I was thirteen on the Mar del Plata beach in Buenos Aires. But I started to work four years later when I was nearly eighteen.
What was it like growing up in Argentina? We are a family of seven children, I am the second and though we had the basic things that we needed, we grew up sharing everything. My parents raised me in a very traditional way (as is typical in my city). We were surrounded by nature and climbed lots of trees! As we didn’t have many material things, I used my imagination to create simple games for my brothers and sisters. I had fun and I think that was one of the most beautiful stages of my life where I learnt the codes and principles that I use today.
Where do you go to have a good time in Argentina? What I enjoy most in Argentina is hanging out with my family, having barbecues and just spending time together. I like visiting old friends and dancing to good music in clubs.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? There are two. The first is ‘you have to give it to receive it.’ The second is ‘want, search, find’.
