The best Polish export product? Models. This is confirmed by Magdalena Frackowiak - one of the most famous models of the world. In an interview with PAP Life she reveals the inside story of co-operation with the brand Victoria's Secret.
PAP Life: - Apparently you flew specially to Poland for Maciej Zien fashion show?
Magdalena Frackowiak: - Yes, at 3 a.m. I came from New York and went straight from the airport to Maciej for my outfit. I am very happy that I can be here. And even more I liked the new collection. Especially the colors - white and my favourite black - studded with glittering stones. My attention was drawn by the accents of pink. This is an airy, delicate and subtle collection. Very much in the style of Maciej Zień. I would not have a problem finding something for myself, not just for the evening, but also for the day.
PAP Life: - You've mentioned black, is it a color that will never go out of fashion?
M.F.: - Black is timeless and classic. It is said that every woman should have in her closet a little black dress. Black is the color that suits any woman - blonde and brunette, and such with red hair. Besides, black is a safe and elegant. It's probably enough arguments for this, never go out of fashion.
PAP Life: - You walk on the runways for top designers, how are polish designers making compared to them ?
M.F.: - It is an abstract question. Polish fashion, because of our history, is crawling a little. We haven't had the opportunity to interact with the best stylists around the world, something that can be afforded, for example, by the French fashion houses like Givenchy or Balenciaga. I can not compare Maciej Zien to Chanel. But I look at the development of the Polish fashion industry with great optimism. We have a lot to offer. We have plenty of young, talented people like Maciej Zień. Things are improving.
PAP Life: - bolish models are still making strong in the fashion industry ?
M.F.: - More and more. More and more young Polish models is working in the world. Really very beautiful girls who walk the runways for top designers. The fact that Polish women are conquering the international catwalks is in my opinion related to the political changes in Poland itself. The European Union has opened our eyes on the possibilities of working abroad. Young models are increasingly traveling to other countries, no longer afraid of Paris or New York. Even the TV show "Polish Next Top Model" more or less shows how the fashion industry works. The topic is getting more familiar and there is less doubts. And as for the models - Polish girls are unique. We have a great diversity of beauty types. We have Slavic blondes, but also brunettes with dark skin.
PAP Life: - Soon the first store of cult brand Victoria's Secret will open in Warsaw. Is it really worth waiting for it?
M.F.: - Of course it is. It has always been a dream of every girl to have a beautiful bra from Victoria's Secret. As you know, I work with the brand, and from my own experience I can say that they have great quality. I think Victoria's Secret will be well received on the Polish market. This is a brand that has an idea for itself, plus VS employs the most beautiful women in the world.
PAP Life: - Well, what is the atmosphere in the famous show of the brand?
M.F.: - This is the wright word. Victoria's Secret Shows are unusual, this is a show. Most girls on the catwalk wearing the famous Victoria's Secret wings - is has become part of pop culture today. I have to admit that when I first took part in the show Victoria's Secret, I was a little embarrassed - it's underwear. But surely this is a wonderful experience and great fun. Very nice and friendly people are working for the brand, so I can sum up all this in one word - awesome.
PAP Life: - Are the spectacular wings heavy?
MF - No, because they are done in a thoughtful manner. From behind the back a bar has been designed, which means that the load is distributed as in a school bag. Weight of wings focuses on the shoulders, without straining your spine.
PAP Life: - Will you tell us how the cooperation with Victoria's Secret will develop? Apparently you will be the new VS angel ?
MF: - Speculation that appear have the right to appear. But the official version is - it's a secret (laughs).
Magdalena Frackowiak is from Gdansk. Her career began at age 16. Her name appears regularly in the top 20 best models of the world. In 2011, her picture could be seen not only in dozens of covers of prestigious magazines, but also in the created by Karl Lagerfeld edition of the famous Pirelli calendar. In 2010 she took part in Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The perfume Givenchy ad is great! I actually really love the concept they were going for and thinks her face looks really striking in the second shot. She isn't an angel yet, right? I love the work that she does for VS. I think it shows just how versatile she can be, and she deserves the money.
