I saw the bal harbour satchel in eggshell today and the leather was just horrible, really rough and plasticy. I never though I would see an MJ bag of such poor quality leather. How dissapointing

^ I don't think the leather is horrible, it is just different from the smooth/soft leather in other MJ bags. This leather type is used for certain lines; recent bags include Resort 05's Diane, Julia, and Courtney. This pebbled (somewhat) and structured leather is not as soft/smooth as those from Soft Calf Classic line, some people said that it's very easy to keep clean. They are just different and hard to compare, it really depends on each person's preference. =)

According to the MJ store I visited over the weekend, Bal Harbour Satchel is selling out pretty fast for them.

Great, glad the company is doing well and people are finding bags they love!

However, the leather I'm talking about can't be compared to that of the Courtney, I have a Sienna (baby Courtney), and the leather is nothing like this new leather. They're 100% different.

I must have gotten Courtney wrong. If I remember correctly, Courtney and Sienna were available in 2 types of leather: icy & non-icy. As for Resort 06, Bal Harbour line is definitely different from Soft Calf line.

I saw the Bal Harbour too and the leather is gross, it's really stiff and cheap. Mundodabolsa is so right.
