Some of these Cosmos and Marie Claires from China are honestly leagues beyond what many of the current Vogue editions are producing. It's incredible to see the vast difference in quality. Some of these Chinese creatives need to infuse a much needed energy to their counterparts abroad.

I love the extreme 80s feel of the story and Liu delivers. Only shot am not crazy about is the one in the feather headpiece which isnt too flattering on her but it does look nice in the full shot.

I watched every video twice and I was in awe ahahahaha FASHIONNNNNNNNNNNNNN : love this !
I wished the end result in print wasn't this underwhelming: it's clearly the photographer's fault this time.
She KILLED it in every shot and in every video HOWEVER either the editor didn't pick the right photos or angles OR it's the photographer who managed to do a brilliant video but a mediocre shoot.
ONCE AGAIN Y'ALL = watch the videos !!! LIU IS A TOP MODEL.

It's the classic sort of content I've come to expect from Chinese publications and despite minor flaws, I generally like what I'm seeing here. I've seen the photographs scattered across different Instagram posts and I can say that I appreciated seeing them separately, since they don't strike me as a cohesive story all together like this. Would love to see this in a magazine layout, perhaps I'd appreciate it more. But there's some stunning shots and I really love that they're consistently giving us extravagant fashion we crave in Marie Claire China. Of all publications!
