Her story goes a little something like this: she grew up on a steady diet of clogs, *****, windmills and pigtails – “you know, regular Dutch stuff” – and, before you know it, she’s a Prada girl. Her pals call her Kika, she’s a massive metal fan and her biggest regret, she smiles, is yet to come.

I don’t have a favourite book but I like to read a Dutch thriller as I’m speaking English most of the time.
