I kind of agree Zazie. But Marjan used to be in the limelite quite often during that period but a few years ago he decided to take a quieter, more emotional direction in his work because I think he might have got a bit lost in it all after the Bjork/Swan dress debacle. So perhaps it's a reflection of something alot more personal and inspired. He's still pretty popular though in London and Paris as he lives and works in the former and presents in the latter...and he's co-owner of Kokon To Zai which are in both cities also. I like this way better, myself. His work has been alot stronger and he doesn't have to worry with the flash and ego aspects like a Galliano caricature.

I know what you mean, and right after the swan dress limelight, the sequinned Disney stuff was terrible. Still the major fringe fashion press, if not the fashion masses, should at least have taken notice, so some of us who have followed him through the years get to see some coverage. He is still a significant talent. Nothing on Hintmag, JCReport, etc....maybe they'll surface eventually.

Two of the outfits (out of three) are really lovely (the non-whites)

thanks for the pictures Scott.
i too remember when he was white hot. along with Arkadius he was billed to be the next great star out of london. it never happened. but good to see him continuing his work in a much quiter less prententious manner. sometimes (speaking from evxperience) it is much better this way, trying to live up to the hype can be very distracting. when one is flyins under the radar, there is often more time to create beutiful clothing that has reall substance.
Also Scott I need your help with something............
you seem to get all the images of the idependent designers,
there is an American designer who used to be an aquintance of mine (whe met through another close mutual friend) a couple years back. i saw his name on the Paris calendar, His Name is Marshal Leigh, have you heard anything of him. i think his show was on monday, Maybe one of you guys may have heard. it would be nice to see what he is doing.

This looks to me like typically wonderful Marjan Pejoski, from what little we have to evaluate...

I think there was luck in the matter with Blow PR last season. None currently, but I'll be checking back (!)

ooh lovely. Thanks for posting Scott! I wonder if we can find more images.

I was going to make an appointment with Marjan Pejoski to see this collection.....but I had no time.... these are the kind of things I really want to see at Paris Fashion Week in person since the converage is so scarce......

Marjan actually very kindly invited me to this showroom(I assume of a reciprocated gesture for inviting him to participate in my event-I REALLY would love it his personality and style was present in this!!) but unfortunately wasn't able to make it to Paris this season. I really wish I could have seen everything up close(and taken piccies!). Next season, hopefully. Diane did say that he was planning to do an actual show then.

Zamb-I haven't but you've definitely given me something to research ;)

Zazie-that's thing about showroom's though...they don't get the show coverage if he had perhaps done a presentation or catwalk. Usually the showrooms are reserved mostly for the benefit of press + buyers to look at on a more intimate level.

lovely! esp the white sort of embossed stitching dress. shame there's so little coverage of this.

that bag is riot - i thought it was giant fingernails upon first glance!

Have to say I don't like the last dress. I like the idea, but the way it's done is too rough.

Very nice pieces. Had no idea he was the designer of that infamous Bjork's swan dress.

I like what I see and wish there were more.
Thank you tons Scott

For some reason, I always look forward immensely to Marjan P... probably moreso for the suspense in finding pictures, which can hold me unrelenting for months.
