they showed an episode of Later....With Jools Holland about a week ago on that Ovation channel,it was a performance from 2003,i believe,when her first solo album came out.....she was extraordinary. statuesque,elegant,graceful....a bit shy in her demeanor. an awful like alison goldfrapp's timid demeanour (who performed with tricky as well) when they started performing.

Karma a million times over for you, Scott! She is my most favorite female vocalist ever. I don't have her new album yet, but I do own Quixotic and all her stuff with Tricky. I had the pleasure of seeing them in '97 and she was mesmerizing on stage. Didn't do anything but stand there and sing with her eyes closed, but folks could not take their eyes off of her. I listen to her solo stuff and Tricky every night on my walks and her voice just transforms the spaces I'm in. It's so otherworldly. She kills me on "Abbaon Fat Track" and "Black Coffee" especially. She is a modern day blues artist in her emotion and evocativeness.

I discovered Martina's music a while back. And I'm seriously hooked. I've been listening to her music non stop!!!!

Martina is featured on the Massive Attacks new album Heligoland
so if any one has heard Babel and Psyche
Martina is the lead vocals for those songs songs!!!!
