Mary Katrantzou F/W 12.13 London

This is so great. I was worried this collection was going to be a bit stale, but it's totally surpassed my expectations.

She's cool, I really love her work. She's one of the only designers who doesn't make me feel like I'm looking like at dresses; but at art pieces displayed on people.

I'm actually not much of a fan of the prints this time around but I love the fact that she introduced some new silhouettes and that a lot of the sculpted dresses don't look as stiff in this collection. Many pieces here look much more flowy and flattering than her usual works. I quite like this and I love the two dark red dresses!

I particularly like the earlier looks, the more neutral coloured prints -- because then you can really see the architectural shapes of the clothes!

Are those toilets seats @ #5 ?

Part of me wants to say she's a one trick pony and whilst a signature is all well and good, I'm tired of it. Whilst I can't quite bring myself to say that, it is the case that the first time you see Mary's objet d'art prints they're amazing, by the fifth or sixth season, necessarily the impact won't be quite as strong.

The saving grace was that she did give us something new to look at in the phase #7 to around #12. Even looks that weren't prints. You felt then like things might get really changed up, a new journey. But no. It was back, essentially, to the tried and tested.

I wonder if Mary might be hampered a bit by a wholly understandable logic - these object prints have worked, plaudits received, I daren't risk changing a successful formula. But of course fear of moving on can't be a good thing in fashion. It's standing still you should be wary of.

awesome collection. yet again. i just wanna pick her brain and find out her thought process and what goes behind her collections.

impressive ! juste impressive and amazing !!! really great, I love it ! so architectural and artistic, colors are great, this is so special

Mary is what London Fashion week should be: innovative, new, artistic. Not stale. For years she's been establishing herself as the queen of prints, and this is what truly makes it official. The architecture in her clothes and the innovation is what makes her brilliant, and this collection has new visions and shapes.

this is so incredible and awesome that i dont have words, you get the feeling that every single piece is made with such a passion, i just love her work sooo much

a weird mix of old Manish Arora & Basso & Brooke....not feeling it....

Mary Katrantzou is such a forward thinker. It's refreshing to see this when nearly everyone else is trying to recreate the past, and I think that's why she gets so much praise. Yeah, she does have a similar aesthetic every season but she does change up the silhouettes and experiment with new things, such as the flowy dresses this time around, enough to keep up interest and push forward IMO. Her collections are always a delight to see. She's miles ahead of everyone else at this point, I think.

Loved the whole collection, the colours, shapes... She is the genius of prints.
