t's Spring outside but we're bringing you some cold memories from Paris, with a few pictures taken during Fashion Week last March. An evening in Paris, then, and a few questions to Masha Kirsanova on how she feels about modeling, how it started and what she has learnt from her experiences. You probably knew her for her editorial work, literally dancing on glossy paper (see Amica by Mark Pillai two posts below), you'll know the girl behind it now. A story about music and body language... and communication. Heart and soul!

When, where and how did you start modeling ?
I live in a small town, 500 km from Moscow and it happened something like 4 years ago. My friend invited me to go to the casting of a local modeling agency. I was called back and was invited to the catwalk lessons. Then I've been sent to Moscow where we toured many model agencies, and Avant was the most suitable for me.

How much do you enjoy modeling ?
I really enjoy it as it is the biggest pleasure for me to be in front of the camera, to be on the catwalk and to travel around the world. Thanks to this job I have also met a lot of interesting people, I've seen different countries and I learnt some secrets of communication with people.

We know you for being tall and gorgeous but we're also impressed by your body language on both editorials and polaroids. Are you a dancer as well or did you practice ballet when you were younger ?
I did ballet dancing for 7 years and now I try to continue dancing everywhere I can listen to music -- in the shower, at home, at some parties and for sure during the shootings.


Where are you right now ? Which cities have you been lately ?
Now i am in my hometown, my favorite place in Russia, and during the last months I have been in New York, Milan, Paris, Warsaw and Moscow.

What was your favorite of the last jobs you did ?
My favourite editorial is the story in Amica by Mark Pillai. Shows are Emporio Armani and Valentin Yudashkin.

Do you have a passion outside modeling ?
I love dancing and I am fond of psychology which I want to study in the future. I'm interested in human relationships, communication and I want to understand people's souls.

What are your next plans, as a model and for your future ?
I want to pursue my modeling career, to do my best to improve my skills, trying to reach another level. The most important thing is to remain human in any situation and to never forget people who helped you.
