Have any TFS'ers bought Mason Pearson Brushes? Are they worth it, or all they all hype? What kind do you have?

I am looking into buying a boar and nylon mix. I have super curly hair that I straighten with a GHD.

Thanks!

Welcome to tFS! My mom swears by her Mason Pearson brushes. I haven't tried one personally - I have super short hair - but she loves them :flower:

i adore mine! i think it's worth it
have no idea which one it is -perhaps it is the 'pocket bristle'

I have a pocket brush with the nylon/boar bristle mix. It works pretty nicely, smooths out my hair. I've had the brush for a long time, it's the plastic one. I would have liked to have the wooden ones they made originally. But it is definitely worth it if you take care of them.

What is their big claim? I mean, how are they different than regular brushes? I am tempted to get one too.

Well, I went to Fortnum and Mason ready to buy the Mason Pearson brush, but after thinking about it, I went with a Kent brush. They are extremly high quality, made since the 1770s, and the brush of HRH the Queen.

My hair is very silky and shiny, and the brush does not tear. I am very pleased with it.

Thanks TFS :flower:
