Matches opens online boutique

you are totally right, I just looked at the lookbook and there is no comparison. matches has all the balenciaga I would want. the only thing aloha rag has is some good pieces from the capsule.

that is insane but unfortunately happens all the time

it is very bad for matches to have such a price difference on their ecommerce site.. one little error can do them a lot of harm.

karma for pointing that out and warning others

and if anyone from matches is reading: get your act together and lower your prices asap!!

exactly! I wish we could purchase online directly!
btw, Balenciaga is totally oversized this season. Make sure you size down (at least for tops). I tried a couple of size 36 at Barneys, and the sizing is totally outrageous. The egg shape jacket looks like an oversized lunchbag on me:(

^ so they do it deliberately ??

well, NAP should have one of the lowest prices since they are purely an online shop whereas MATCHES most possibly sell online for the same price they sell in their shops therefore have more costs... either way they should lower their prices as to compete with NAP is not easy and they should keep them in mond with whatvere they do online:D

Bad day. bad shopping day...bad Hermes experience compounded by Matches Online misery. Okay well I know its Christmas and all that but I bought a coat on the Matches website on the first day of their sale - the day before yesterday. The item was due to be shipped to my London address. Anyways, I phone up today to check everythings cool with the coat and that it's on its way and the darn thing is still hanging their in their offices not shipped nothing! I am only in the UK for 3 days over Christmas and I want to get the coat check it's all fine and take it back with me to France or return it if necessary. To cut the rant, basically, in order to make sure I get it before the afternoon of Thursday 28th Dec I have to swing by their offices and collect it in person on the 27th. E-commerce - what e-commerce.

And by the way, their prices are always slightly higher than everywhere else - for example, they slap £5-10 quid on Prada over the price of the Prada stores.

so sorry to hear that grill but i am not a fan of MATCHES either and their sale is the worst ive seen every year..
they might as well NOT do a sale

^ The only reason I bought from them was because the coat I was after was sold out everywhere else! Their pre-sale price was massively increased on the US and even the European pricing, but with a discount it was more reasonable though definitely not a bargain.

In Paris, - I know this isn't to do with Matches but - I always find Maria Luisa's prices inflated in comparision to the boutiques.

really? will have a look in january and compare prices..
i hate stores who do that...

I've ordered a Jovovich-Hawk dress at matches (on sale) - I hope I won't have bad experiences as mentioned above.
I can recommend luisaviaroma.com (easy, fast delivery), although my favorite online-store is NAP ;-)

why did they take off the balenciaga on the site?? I cant find it!:(

WT?! you must have an account to even shop there now? tres annoying...

I just received my first order from Matches and....

I ordered a pair of grey and white Pierre Hardy high-tops. The order confirmation e-mail and each subsequent e-mail stated that I had ordered a pair of grey and white high-tops. But guess what? They sent me the BLACK and white version. How does this happen? Even all of their paperwork included states that they're supposed to be grey and white. The box is damaged too. And they shipped them DHL which is probably the worst shipping company I have ever encountered in my long history of online shopping.

AND they apparently expect me to pay £30 to ship the shoes back and they won't refund any shipping charges or duties paid. WTF?

I don't even really like the shoes, so I don't want to just exchange them. The other Pierre Hardy shoes I have are leather brogues and I must say I'm not really loving his trainers.

Not impressed.
