i was gonna order them for someone and i also really love them... cannot believe this happened.
i think you should call them and explain and if you have proof of your order sent it via email. i am sure they would look amazing on you.. and they should send them to you ASAP!!

are the black/white ones really not good?

It's not that the black and white ones are bad. I think I'm just being negative about them because they're not what I ordered. And it's a really small issue, but the rubber sole/edge is a slightly different shade of white than the leather trim. It's nit-picky, but they're Pierre Hardy! They're also made from an incredibly soft, thin leather, which maybe isn't so practical for casual trainers.

I still really like them, and now that I've calmed down a little bit, the black ones are really nice, I just want the grey ones. Like, right now.

Incase anyone's interested here's an update....

After several back and forth e-mails with a CSR at Matches I sent the shoes back (with the absolutely horrible DHL *hate*) with copies of all of the e-mails and the completed return form stating the situation and asking for the grey and white pair to be sent to me. Earlier this week I received an automatic e-mail informing me that my order had been refunded. I've checked my credit card and the original price of the shoes plus the original shipping cost has been refunded, even though the e-mail didn't state that the shipping would be refunded.

I don't understand why they didn't send me the shoes I wanted (and STILL want) and originally ordered, they're still available on their site.

I know Grill had a bad experience with the site, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ordered from them, and what their experience was. I certainly won't be shopping with them EVER again.

I recently bought a coat from Selfridges that was 70-80 pounds cheaper than the same coat on the matches website...so if you are in London maybe check out how much it is in stores first. HTH

I ordered from Matches last December.. but got an email telling me that the item (last avaiable) was in such a bad condition that they wouldn't sent in and they reinbursed me right away..
I was told they would try and get a new dress from the designer and get back to me.. they never did..and for a short period of time the dress.. in my size was up on their website
I pmed them several times to hear if it was a mistake..because my dress which was not sent to me was also featured for a while on the site after I had been reinburshed - I never heard back

Earlier this month I got an 'customer satisfaction form' email asking me about my shopping experience..which I answered and today I got a personal apology email from Matches and a personal code giving me free shipping untill april 1st
..which was a nice gesture.. with the sale they were obviously busy..

i always think to run an online shop is so overwhelming thats why one must do it right or not at all ...
i still find the matches one a very difficult one to browse for some reason

ITA i feel the site could have better navigation perhaps. I am not really a fan of browsing by item type, and to browse by designer I dont think works too well with a drop down list

really? I like their browsing style. I prefer a drop down designer menu but that's just me I guess. It's nice Hanne that they emailed you in the first place about the dress instead of sending something in subpar condition.

Any idea on how to work the Wishlist on Matches ?? I can't seem to work it out and FAQs aren't any help..
