i think it's great overall. a continued work on the geometric silhouettes from last season....

unfortunately, that was all on prettypretty....i dunno if anybody else will get any up but i hope so.

have to reiterate, his cutting is so reminiscent of Jurgi and Miguel...who he's had experience with.

one of my favourite collections! I love the simplicity :crush:

Really works when he throws the red in there, gives it a little kick in the pants.

you're right. and that's another attribute to jurgi's work also. he always worked with a monochromatic palette and a shot of very stark red(especially in the stitching he did). i love red....and it works so well against that monochromatic palette....plus red+black+white...perfect mates,if you ask me :ninja:

It's beautiful.. he seems to have such a good eye for architecture.. even the mix of colours seem so mathematically made for me..

hmm, I remember looking at this a few days ago on diane pernet's blog.. I thought it was a preview and he'd show in a different place/time.. I guess this is it. where was it though? NYC, Paris, both?.. puzzled by the title!.

One dress in particular is very reminiscent of Miu Miu S/S 2007 -- not to take away from his fantastic cuts and designs, of course -- although 10x more wearable and versatile. I remember looking at his past collection and being shocked that I hadn't heard of him--he's just as talented as any major designer.

mullet,he had a show in NY and then had a presentation in Paris. i think this one is the Paris one though but i did the title that way as he did show in both cities and we didn't see the NY one at all.

seanut,i think because last season was his first premiere show,it is the reason nobody knows much at this juncture. but he has had some press though the last four or five seasons. but he is brilliant.

always a pleasure to see something wonderful done very simply

Scott do you mean Miguel Adrover and Jurgi Persoons? I searched some collections by them, but their shapes seem different, especially Persoons--he seems to have more focus on handmade textures.

well,i mean in terms of their sharply, precise cutting...

jurgi, particularly, apart from his personal aesthetics....his amazing, brilliant cutting techniques was also a very synonymous part of his work. in fact,i don't think anybody who was a fan, could mutter his name without mentioning the two aspects together.

but i don't want to turn this into a Persoons shrine....it'll just make me sad, anyway,as he's not around anymore :( just that i see alot of that experience taken from them in matthew's technique.

the more I look at this the more masterful it seems. I really do like this a lot.
