Matthew Ames A/W 07.08 NYC+Paris

there is a certain sadness that i get when i look at work like this.
It saddens me because , i wonder, what does a really good designer has to do to be supported in the industry and be respected for thier work.
I never heard of this show/ Presentation in NY, i didnt see it covered anywhere.
then i see a trove of editors , journalists etc. subjecting themselves to attending shows like heatherette, yeah i said it,. HEATHERETTE.......
and a whole lot of others that i wont even bother to mention.

this is a really beautiful collection......... and i am sad as it is beautiful

The cut and tailoring is amazing, coupled with great design and imagination. One of the loveliest, goose-bumps raising collections this F/W. Shame about the lack of coverage. This beats the Martin Grants or Marc Jacobs handsdown anytime.

And for once, everybody AGREES! :p That pretty much confirms his talent in this collection. Hope he gets better and more recognized.

I couldn't agree more...If I wasn't a member of TFS I probably wouldn't of seen this collection, it's a real shame.

Does anyone know where his collections are available? I checked his site but there was not stockist list or anything about where to buy.

^maria luisa and colette-both in paris-is all i know of for certain.

I could get wordy about this but... I can feel the craft of these clothes - the little bit of string to hang a soft fabric, the way everything must move. My only criticism is that I wish it was a more interesting fabric.

hmmm...i wonder what happened?

anyway, according to an article on refinery 29 his collections are actually being carried in NY at Bergdorf Goodman.
