I came across the web site for rising Paris-based Hyeres participant,Matthew Ames whilst surfing the new Cristofoli Press web site. Never saw the last collection but I must say I'm liking his work quite alot thus far. Only two collections already...first one is a bit too cartoonish for me personally, but lovely nontheless. He used old children's bed linens for some of these pieces....hence the Smurf's shirt
Unfortunately,I can only give the link since I can't pull images from it nor could I find any through the web anywhere.

But I think he's extremely promising. A little bit in the same vein of Bernhard/Jensen/Wijnants....perhaps even a bit of early V&R. And this makes two really good American designer's who are based elsewhere....Thomas Engel Hart being the other.
