In an intimate presentation, Ian Griffiths, head designer of Max Mara, focused on house classics with a nod to David Bowie in the Seventies. Inspired by Bowie’s upcoming exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Griffiths’ most costumey looks included flamboyant sleeved blouses and slouchy trousers, at times paired with fur scarves and wide-brim hats. But his real focus was on chic camel hair outerwear, relaxed suits, tunics over pants and easy long dresses, all worked with unexpected textured panels of Persian lamb and baby alpaca.
