MECHA

Mariachi music and traditional brocade fabrics imbued a sense of Mexico's past into tight capri pants, pleated sheath dresses, and shrunken blazers with tails. But is this collection representative of Mexico's style future? We're not sure. The fabrics were dip-dyed in browns and blues, the silhouettes were shredded and layered, and the look—for better or for worse—was very close to a style we'll just call "Mary Kate Olsen,” but with better embroidery.

I don't know if I hate it... I think I like some of the looks...

i like this, it's ethnic but not in a clichéd way... i wonder too, as the reviewer: what is the future of mexican fashion?? there really seems to be nothing or no one to watch for right now, as some years ago, malena de la riva was, she's now the costume designer for the commercial mexican flicks... thx for posting the collections brian ;)
