Thanks for posting the pics...

I find this terribly dull. It looks like a minimalist collection that got distracted. There's something missing here, just that little bit extra...

you're welcome

all from vogue.co.uk

my fave look from this, both in short and in long length..
the rest i'm so-so, i dont like wrinkled fabrics or iridiscence..
but the colour palete is quite cool..

-i do have a major problem with fw05.06 colours- :ninja:

thanks fr the topic and the pictures runner, much appreciated :flower:

which of these colours don't you like Lena? I am wary of the warmer colours - but purely on a very personal basis given that I am a cool toned person myself (northern european colouring).

I am enjoying the minimalism of it - the clothes are just simple & IMO don't need anything else by way of embellishment.

I like it. It might not be very impressive or even lack of "wow" effect, but very wearable and classic. After all I am just a consumer.

Love:

i actually liked menichetti's colours helena..
which was a bit of a surprise.. since -in general- i can't see myself being happy with most colours launched for fw05.06.

i can see helena wearing most of this and myself in about half of it...if i had an office job i'd wear more...

i like the second group of pics better as the colours begin to get darker-which translates as stronger to my eye...

the first look in #11 is my personal fave-burgundy cardigan with wrap skirt...
very flattering shape imo..and good colours...
i also think the longer version of the dress lena posted is more succesful...mostly because i think it works better in the burgundy fabric...jersey, i think?...

thx for the pics runner...:flower:

I thought of you softgrey when I saw the burgundy outfit actually. Oh if only I could afford to dress like this for the office. Its beautiful. I can appreciate it more than some here probably because I work in such a conservative environment - its restrained but very sophisticated (if thats not oxymoronic). I think its easy to just say that its dull.

Lena- I do not like all the mustard & olive-y colours around.....

well...the truth is that you could achieve a similar affect shopping at reiss and zara...etc... which i'm sure you do helena...:flower:

but it would be luxurious to have such simple pieces but of such high quality...

i think the fundamental issue would be the one that lena brought up...i love the rumpled affect..but i think that people in a more conservative office might just see it as wrinkled...:ermm:

well I do try softgrey!

I know what you mean about people in offices thinking it looks wrinkled...but there are some girls like me who have to conform they also want to be different from all the armani clad contingent. I think this would do the trick. But maybe you are saying that you don't have to pay these prices just to be different...?

i'm saying that...
but also saying that even though it's rather conservative...i still think there will be those who don't 'get it'...

Softgrey,

Do retail stores in the US carry Menichetti?

This is the first Menichetti collection that I like, I think it's really good. I like his choice of fabrics already, and now I like the design as well :flower:
