Men's Vogue October 2008 : Barack Obama by Annie Leibovitz

This is Obama's second Men's Vogue cover. He has an 8 page feature.

The best thing about this issue is the feature on Robert Hughes.

The mag is 252 pages... if anybody cares... I know you don't

^^Hahah is he becoming the "Nicole Kidman" of Men's Vogue?

To be honest i dont remember his first cover at all :s and dont think this is a falttering angle.

Aw, really? ^_^ I loved his first Vogue cover, and I don't mind this one. I guess I fall for his charms too easily, lol.

am I naive to buy that shot and think it was actually all spontaneous and he just turned to the right during a very busy interview, and there just happened to be annie with a camera.. :ninja:

^ :flower:

I don't like this cover

WTF? Didn't he just have a cover like 2 months ago? Talk about working overtime for hinm Vogue. They're probably on his campaign payroll or something.

Let's wait a minute. Obama had a Men's Vogue cover in 2006.

That was over two years ago. Men's Vogue has frequently given face time to other politicians - John Edwards had a cover as well, it's not rare for men's magazines to feature political mainstays as well as actors / journalists / athletes. Two covers is in the span of two years is nothing compared to the amount of time their sister publication devotes to their repetitious roster of favored actresses.

As for the political leanings of Conde Nast as a corporate entity that verges into debate that is almost too big for tFS.

Precisely! ^_^ Has McCain had a cover? If he hasn't, I'm sure it's more to do with his degenerated looks (well, he is much older) than political affiliation.

Anyway, I like Obama's newest cover. He knows how to ~work~ it for the camera (hence the existence of lolobama and obama_daily on livejournal).

I guess NY Mag is doing there usual trolling of tFS for news... did you catch they were trying to cut us down... the cut  They try so hard... bless their hearts... but are so beyond irrelevant.

Well this is good. I need this press, I have a movie coming out in October staring myself, Selena Gomez and Ernest Borgnine.

^ Luxx!

Well yeah... why do you think I posted? I mean... I need some press too... I'm opening Prada in another week.

He doesn't deserve this cover simply because he tries too hard - did you guys notice that he will wear jacket too large on the shoulders to pretend that he is one of those ordinary guys? But look at the jacket he wore when he met with Bill Clinton in NYC on 9/11. This man has two faces.

what does that have to do with anything?? i'm not getting your point, if there is one...

The American presidential election is to comic this time. The candidates have celebrity status and even speak of useless people like Paris Hilton. It's absolute bananas.
