So just got back from an amazing weekend. I caught a lot of the shows and three designers stuck out for me as their collections were from start to finish the best and storyline and silhouettes.

CIA Maritima had a broad spectrum of moroccan inspired patterns with intricate unqiue designs and earthy tones.

Poko Pano straight from Brazil was yet another surprise. We saw wider bottoms in her collection, amazon inspired designs with a lot of floral patterns on white and many sets as well as broken sets which clashed but yet worked very well together.

Last but not least Aqua Di Lara had their collection consisting of many one piece swimsuits, solid jewel tone colors, and more sheen shiny metalic fabrics.

One thing I consistently saw was a lot of swimsuits having belts or a wrap/cache around the waist. I also saw many collections having single sided belt loop design on side of bikini' One piece suits with top consisting of frontal X design across was also seen on many of the collections. 2011 in the beach will consist more on making a statement than your more traditional comfort swimwear.

Next up the big daddy of them all NY Fashion week....Can't wait!
