Don't ever brush your hair... take your shower BEFORE going to bed.. and then you get that look....

^
lol kim that is exactly what I do and I get this look. I don't brush my hair though because a. it doesn't knot and b.it gets static-y when i do. I have very straight hair but it has started going 'curly' now because i have so many layers cut into it, so that definately helps get waves.

Agree, happens to me.

I don't even brush my hair or it becomes frizzy.

I do this hair all the time.

I wash my hair only twice a week and after I wash it I put it up in a twisted bun and leave it that way. I put a little bit of oil in my hair as well. If my hair is clean this style never works. It's best not to wash you hair for a couple of days before you want to wear this look. It's so easy. I always get so many compliments on my hair. ^_^

But doesn't your hair turn really oily if you wash it twice a week...? Mine get really oily after a day..... :ninja:

No. My hair is kind of dryish so it never looks oily. This hair style won't work on my hair if it is freshly washed because it will just go fluffy and frizzy.
Although my hair goes more wavy than in the pictures that were posted.

the woman who started this look.....

My hair gets super oily if I don't wash it every 24 hours too! I hate that!

The best thing to do is shower, then put your hair in a BUN for about half an hour. When you take out the bun, it's very sexy and wavy.

If you shower, then tie up the TOP half of your hair in a bun, that will give you a lot of volume in the crown after you take out the bun. Optimal is a bun at the top of your head and at the bottom, I know it sounds silly but that makes it voluminous and wavy all over.

chloegirl and Josephine please give proper credits to your pictures or I will have to delete them.

went back and had a look at the brigitte thread and there were no credits for these pics

I, too, have started to do this look more often. I think being a lazy/tired/stressed student inspired me! Haha. I love how this style is so easy to get too...like seriously, "dont wash your hair" is the jist of it. SOOO much nicer than fussing for an hour trying to style your hair.

I would love to try it, but I think alot of people would tell me my hair looks messy...

^^^ Try it anyways. It's only once. If people tell you that and it bugs you, just don't do it again.

My hair never does what I want if it's too clean. I get compliments when I don't touch my hair. My favorite thing about this is you can touch your hair and run your fingers through your hair, and you're style isn't gone. If anything, it's enhanced. It's very natural sexy. I ran through the rain tonight with my hair down, and ended up incredibly wet (but not soaked), messy, and bed-heady. I swear, afterwards, my hair looked better than it has in weeks. No kidding. And look, lucky me, I didn't spend any time at all on it.

wow, your hair looks like that out of bed? mine looks more like edward scissorhands when i wake up.

if i leave it for a few days and just run my fingers through it it can look vaguely like this.
