I hate that he cast Carolyn Murphy.
Didn't Michael Kors start out as a more ourdoorsy version of Narciso Rodriguez? Someone who prides himself on great tailoring, neutral colors, and clean silhouettes? Nowadays his stuff is tending towards tacky, with the crochet dresses and printed pants and straw hats and fur scarves. How many New Yorkers actually want to go SoCal? I don't want to call him a second-rate Ralph Lauren because Ralph Lauren in my opinion is already second-rate, but Kors would be better off if he can incorporate the elegance and craftsmanship he's demonstrated in his Celine days. I fear he's trying too hard to create a brand to exercise his true skills.
