Mila Kunis

This type of events are for C list celebrities imo, even if she wanted to attend for whatever reason. She´s losing Black Swan´s momentum, she shouldn´t attend a Muppets premiere but like I said why wasn´t she @ the Almodovar tribute in NY? this is HW, we all know how it works...

I'd agree - she's losing Black Swan momentum in terms of appearances. In terms of magazines, she's still right up there, especially with Dec's cover of GQ (1 of 4 covers). I'm pretty sure, too, she was the only reaaaal celeb at that Land Rover/jaguar event. Regardless if that's a publicist's job, none of those events are her style.

For instance, she didn't even go to the MET this year, fresh on the heels of Black Swan acclaim which is kind of a big no-no. But she did LAST year in Vera Wang. As important as exposure at some of these events are, like the MET (possibly my fave!), and this week's the MoMa Film Benefit or the Worldwide Orphans Foundation’s Seventh Annual Benefit Gala, where big names like Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde attended. Those two attend everything and to be honest, I'm getting sick of them because of the overexposure. So even though some lack of appearances may be a "miss", she is busy filming and/or getting her life in order the few days she does have off to be back in LA, and when she does have off, it's not her style to be going to these events.

She cut her hair :D
wonder if it´s only the fringe...

@ Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C., on Friday

I'm not believing the fringe is real (remember: she's still shooting Oz), it could be a hair piece. I don't like this look...at all. of all her dresses and hairdos, this?

I'm not feeling the fringe either and I have to agree that the whole look is matronly. However, I'm guessing she probably didn't want to attract attention to herself (more than she already is getting)/ detract attention from what the Marine Corps Ball is about. That being said, she could have looked a lot nicer with her hair down.

On a positive note, it looks like she enjoyed herself! :) So nice of her to attend.

that is not her best looks
BUT she is such a sweetheart to go there
and it looks like she is having fun!

Considering what a big deal this was, how did her stylist NOT pull out a binder of her best looks (hair and outfit) and pinpoint her look for the evening? The only good part of the gown was how it was backless.

The bangs remind me of Natalie Portman, and I'm still convinced they're fakes:

I think she had this kind of look because she didn't want any more attention by wearing a lavish gown and big hair. I guess she wanted go as unnoticed as possible because she's not so hungry for fame.

I totally agree, I thought her choice was perfect for the occasion and very respectful and smart.

Agreed that the fringe is too short, though I think she manages to make it work. :ninja:
