Michelle Smith designs her line as her personal dream wardrobe, and for resort she was feeling soft tailoring punctuated by strong citrus colors. “It communicates a strength while also being fluid and sensual,” she said of the loosely structured jackets and jumpsuits in white and black with orange and green color-blocked collars.
The tailoring had a nice movement, and felt particularly fresh with white wide-leg trousers and culottes in Italian cady. Smith’s elevated fabrics, including a graphic blue jacquard and tonal fil coupe on long halter dresses and evening coats cut with spare drama, kept the look forward-thinking for the contemporary market.
