Inspired by water in all its forms, Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof played with technical fabrics that reflected a wet, shimmery appearance. Their resort lineup of languid dresses and evening separates, done in metallic jacquards, Lurex, fil coupé, velvets, cellophane and silk — some embellished with beading — were kept oversize, and included capelike details and plenty of back interest.
“The natural progression with our water theme was looser, voluminous silhouettes,” Talbot explained, holding up a glimmering navy gown in Lurex bonded to jersey. “The looks are still fitted, but the volume adds drama.” A colorful coat done in pink patterned jacquard was the standout look for daywear.
