Miss Sixty is the latest European to be lured by New York Fashion Week. WWD has learned the Italian denim giant plans to make its runway debut in Manhattan next February. The event looks set to be a rock 'n' roll affair, with Miss Sixty's irreverent muse, actress-cum-model-cum-DJ Asia Argento, set to open the show. "We want to position ourselves as a ready-to-wear brand, not just a denim brand," said Emily Liu, Miss Sixty's U.S. director of marketing.

this is getting as commercial as money can buy, turning more to a trade fair than an actual Fashion Week.

As much as I dislike Miss Sixty, maybe this exposure will help the brand change its style. They will definitely have to impress if they expect to return to NYC Fashion Week.
