Missoni S/S 2026 Milan

Although I'm not a huge fan of Missoni, I actually liked this — maybe thanks to the styling — and for a moment I thought it could’ve been Isabel Marant cousin. In my opinion, it's still better than Filippo Grazioli’s collections, which were praised on this forum for no apparent reason, hahaha.
That said, it's worth noting how heavily editorial it is — maybe a bit detached from reality: who would go around the city at any time of day wearing a swimsuit paired with a blazer and shirt? Not that I have anything against it, but it does feel a little unrealistic.

Very beautiful, very summery and desirable.
Second season of MAS and the new designer.
MAS put so much of her in her work outside of Nicolas that her touch is undeniable.

It is as beautiful and focused as the first collection but maybe my only critique will be in how edited and super focused the collection is.
Outside of her work with Nicolas (and we will see what happens with Balmain), MAS likes to style her show with like 2 or three ideas in which she creates a narrative around. And so, there’s no build up to a great finale.

I find it so underwhelming to close with a tshirt, no matter how fabulously styled it is.
Karl Templer is similar in his styling too. A wow or a surprise is not bad sometimes.

But in terms of pieces and products: perfection!

I agree that the styling is doing wonders for this collection. The hotpants can be a little alienating but I can see the Missoni woman wearing something like this to go to breakfast in a luxury resort

How anyone can praise this over what Filippo was doing is beyond me. If you want to look like this, go to Marant or Maje and through a Missoni sweater over your shoulders. It all exists already and in much better form

ancora in missoni fabric. Also bad fit, bad proportions... Way too tricky to wear.. New/old guy thought he could just slap on the missoni pattern in anything and it will look like filippos.

Can't believe someone would laugh at filippo's missoni over this.

Nothing is really making an impact here. The problem lies in design. Color choices are extremely flat, even when contrast in the form of black trims is brought in. I also find the missoni knit at its most beautiful with a more focused color palette . Styling is working overtime here, feels way more French than whatever missoni is.

Missoni is a brand I always want to love, but they suffer from stale air. The previous designer tried some things, but it felt overworked. This guy belongs in a mid segment brand. If missoni wants to sell fashion, they need someone in the spirit of Daniel Lee, who can take a code and build a new world around it.

Imagine being a press editor or something and having to go to this kind of shows. Even Zara has more design.

I loved it, but I rarely hate a Missoni collection and maybe I’m being biased. Btw, the styling here is great.
