Thank God MM6 is separate from Galliano's Margiela, I think it's a clever way of keeping the Martin's flame alive somewhere yet the collections are always full of wearable ideas. The looks here are very nice, even if I think the s/s 2024 collection was miles ahead. Still, it's quite a strong offering and I'm not gonna complain about it.

What I love about MM6 is that it’s literally a raid in the archives but it doesn’t look passé! It’s very now and the references are very obvious. It doesn’t have the heaviness and pretentiousness of all the so-called Margiela’s heirs.

In the perfect world, John’s progressive RTW (it is progressive in terms of clothing) would complement this in order to push the brand forward.

The ease of this needs to permeate Galliano's collections to strike a balance. So many things to enjoy about this collection from items alone. Do think the styling is maybe a little Acne-lite, or even a tad Glenn Martens but it still works because you know their backlog of references are Margiela heavy anyways.
