Models Switching Agencies

Are they saying the models that appeared in those campaigns are going to switch agency's?

Why Next? Then I honestly think she's better off at Ford. They're getting their act together lately, and it's not like they've done a poor job promoting her, quite the contrary. I don't think she'll get half the attention elsewhere.

I still think Karlie made a big mistake too. And not just because of ze sketchiness.

^That's pretty much my feeling about the whole thing. Agnete breathed an editorial life into Ford that was otherwise missing before her, and they really turned her into a star. I just feel like Next is becoming far too cluttered at the moment, but who knows.

As for that campaign news, there are changes a'coming...

Is there any explanation why some girls from Supreme quit modelling or did this simply happen by chance (which is definitely possible)? Does anybody know more?

She was signed with IMG before, then dropped. Then she was signed by Marilyn in Paris who were able to start her runway career last season. So her being at Marilyn in NY certainly makes sense. :flower:

But is muse doing anything for those 3??

I didn't read the whole thread so I don't know if anyone has already addressed this or not, but often times when girls (or guys, I suppose) leave a large agency for a smaller one, it's for the "boutique" appeal; they feel like they can go from being a small fish in the ocean to a big fish in a small pond, getting the attention they deserve. The only problem with this, of course, is that more often than not, even if those little agencies work with all their might, they really don't have the cachet to play with the big boys.

I was just curious who she was with before, that's all. I'm far from an agency snob! As long as the models look good and the agents are nice, that's all I care about!B)

Stephanie Carta

Chic -> Priscillas

Also she's no longer on Next's site, so a change in there also?

Modeling agency sues competitor in N.Y.

UPI.COM NEW YORK, July 31 (UPI) -- One Model Management reportedly has filed a lawsuit in New York against rival agency DNA Model Management for allegedly trying to court one of its catwalkers. The New York Post said 1MM filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court and accused DNA of hiring one of its former bookers, Vivien Wang, despite a non-compete agreement.
The lawsuit claims 1MM model Denisa Dvorokova is following Wang to the other agency, The Post said.
Although Wang signed an agreement stating she wouldn't work for any of 1MM's competitors for a year, she was allegedly working at DNA within a month of her departure from 1MM in May, the suit said.
"One Model honors its contracts and takes very seriously the contracts it enters into with its employees," company lawyer Ken Sussmane told The Post.
The newspaper said a DNA representative didn't return its call for comment before its story was published.

I'm not surprised the other Elite Prague/Bratislava girls are leaving too, after Denisa's departure, and it makes sense they'd end up at Ford. But jeesus, how many new girls can Ford take on?! I feel like they add about five new faces a week lately. Interesting develoment.

^Thank you!

Every single time I look at the Ford "Image" board it feels like they've added about six of seven new, and slightly indistinguishable, girls from the last time that I looked. The problem being that if they're trying to make stars out of all their new girls, I worry about what kind of time they'll have to push some of their more established acquisitions.

I'm pretty sure Michaela Kocianova wasn't on DNA's website when I checked this morning...

Has she just been added to their board, or did she join DNA some time ago?!
