Models Switching Agencies

I don't like any of them but Chloe M, Keke L and Marieke LR didn't leave for greener pastures yet. And Sojourner is taking a nice start (even if it doesn't mean anything at all anymore). So Willy isn't what I'd call a B-list agency, especially compated to what Elity NY is now. Even Trump looks way better than Elite at this minute. I hope it will change but can't depict it another way right now and Ali, even if she is nowhere close to her career's peak at the mo, had all reasons to change and try.

Kind of funny and sad too that there are still people who label Wilhelmina as NY's poor dog agency.

And kind of funny people ignore what happened to Elite lately. People should read the news instead of taking old stories for today's granted truth.

woemwoem I completely agree. It would interesting if Wilhelmina came in and changed the dynamic of the New York agency scene by developing stars and keeping them at the top. I had some hope for them after the first season successes of Keke and Melodie but both of their buzz died down very quickly. And neither of them booked high end campaigns or anything. Although Keke did do Gucci eyewear but mainline would have been better.

I meant read the news in general, I don't remember any specific article that related the whole story. It's more think you read here and there (or even hear). A lot has been posted on this thread I think, regarding the movements of both models and agents (to DNA and Ford mostly).

Elite had a management change at the top level, they lost at least two key bookers, one went to DNA and another went to either Ford or Next, I can't remember, and there was a mass exodus of models leaving Elite, from both the top names and the hot newbie ranks.

The question I have is that it was mentioned that Elite was cleaning house, but I can't imagine that Elite would want to lose all of the particular models and bookers that actually left?

Yes, that's what I want to ask. I've been watching the model switching from elite to other agency all months. Just question why they lose almost the top bookers in their company and they didn't have any way to stop it. It's weird and no any clues to describe the situation. So just keep watching and maybe someone could tell us......

Doll Wright (the booker) moved to Ford and most if not all of the Australian girls followed her 'cause she's close with their mother agent, Priscillas. I think one booker moved to Wilhelmina and Coco Rocha followed her.

Yeah and provided both are networks I think it's just the beginning of changes. But why not and she's been on silent mode lately so it's not that strange in the end.

Also interesting about Skye. Not that I'm her biggest supporter but it makes sense somehow and I expect more movements on the Viva/DNA side

Right. Forgot to mention about Willy in my post on this topic. Though, I'm not 100% sure Micki being at Wilhelmina will bring much changes there, except bringing Coco and she's not at the highest moment of her career anyway. More changes happened to Wilhelmina by the way and let's see how it affects the agency as a whole in the next few months/semesters...

Naomi at Elite. Interesting. She's had good bookimgs but she's still a bit underrated. I wonder if being a girl with a "good buzz" will help her now that many of the strongest faces at Elite have switched to other agencies.

I'm pretty sure Skye is now based in Sydney so it makes sense for her to be with Women Direct.
