Models Switching Agencies

Wilhelmina Agency

Can someone tell me whats up? Their Image Board is getter really good.
Some very interesting girls they having/joining did some good bookers from other agencies join Wilhelmina ??:p

Who's the brunette behind Dauphine's Society showcard? Kinda looks like Anna Speckhart but she's with Marilyn... at least The Society represents girls in other cities? they don't do Paris right? ... honestly, at this point I'm just tired of looking for her new agency in Paris, if she still has one.

Doesn't look like Anna Speckhart. The bone structure is a little more androgynous than Anna's.
I think The Society is essentially Elite Europe/Elite Paris' in NYC or at least a very close ally.

But wondering if the girls at Vision+Marilyn will end up switching out of Marilyn considering the people who brought those Vision girls to Marilyn are now at Society. The head of Society/ex-Marilyn worked very closely with Vision and I think that's where Jasmine Sanders came in.

Could be a possibility as the 11 new girls with showcards at Marilyn don' t seem to have the same quality as previously and are not doing well at all for fashion week. Marilyn ny also added 15 new girls this month when they usually add 10 a year so things are very different and the Vision/Marilyn girls don't seem to fit . Lindsey Wixson just left. So that leaves Anna Speckhart, Abby Brothers, Madison Headrick, Hana Mayeda and Madeleine Barnes -new face.
Head of Society(previously Marilyn) was at Vision this week and met with 15 girls so the relationship continues.

Lindsey Wixson: Marilyn -> The Society NY
Sigrid Agren: Ford -> The Society NY
Mackenzie Drazen: Marilyn -> The Society NY
Ming Xi: Ford -> The Society NY
Cora Emmanuel -> The Society NY

Did they post their show package on MDC? I didn't see it? Aren't there enough agencies in NY now? What does Eddie Trump who owns Elite NY plan to do now?

There will eventually have to be industry consolidation as the industry matures. Maybe IMG, Next, Ford are the winners who take all ... or maybe the smaller players like Silent NY, One and DNA get their chess pieces in place and become as strong or stronger? Maybe wishful thinking ...

Depends...

You have to remember that there is a lot of modeling that is not covered on these threads such as the less image based/high fashion modeling. Sometimes the "strongest" looking agencies are not actually the strongest financially.

One is expanding the agency into a multi-media, money agency. They're starting up a plus size division soon.

A lot of the main agencies are guided by the "star" bookers..so wherever they go, there's a following and a strength.

Elite NY is not part of Elite network since many years. Opening Society changes "nothing" for Elite NY...they will keep working with Oui in Paris just like they did until now.

The agencies of the future can't be run by the "star" bookers anymore. Because when the big agents walk, all you get is a game of musical chairs and the models suffer. Look at Louie & Christiana and Paul and Mohammed ... strong egos cause instability.

Elite NY stopped being part of the Elite network around 2002. They then split.

Does anyone know if Elite NY own Oui or are they just partners or make referrals to each other like DNA and Viva, which isn't really a network but everyone knows they work well together and share their girls.

The star bookers are the ones with the important client relationships and connections. A lot of agencies would be nothing without them and would have to settle for 2nd rate jobs. For instance, look at how Wilhelmina resurrected itself in the past years by hiring the old stars from Elite. Or let's say, what would happen to IMG if Ivan Bart and Lisa Benson left? (hypothetically speaking)
