Models Switching Agencies

you should only leave an agency if you arent making money or you are not going anywhere with your career and from what im am seeing sigrid is doing just fine.Being signed to a bigger agency does not mean that you will do better Agnete is actually an example of that.....

everyone was kind of shocked when few months ago Isabeli Fontana switched from Women Paris to Silent Paris.. also because she is still represented by Women in NY and Milan..

but i accidentally found that back in 2005 her agency in paris was Silent.

so how is possible in so few years she went to Women then she came back to Silent?

could be some problems at Women? maybe she follows her agent or something like that?

i just wonder so i ask people that maybe know more than me about agencies..

also i thought maybe Silent wouldn't be good enough for her, but then with them she booked Givenchy Couture exclusive s/s 2009, and her last show in couture was in 2004!

the timing u mentioned in details seems very much like a legal procedur.

1) Fontana has a contract with Silent.
2) Women wants her in Paris too, and tell her "come, no problem we are big they will shut up and forget"
3) Silent dont forhet the case, and put the monney and time needed to make to respect the initial contract.
4)Silent wins legally, and women has no more right to represent her in Paris.

Knowing well Women, it would be no surpise at all, it is very usual way to for them, they just steal girls everywhere, counting that smaller agencies will give up against them.

PS: i mainly talk about Milan/Paris women, NY office is managed in a more civilised way.

this is interesting.. i didn't even count the case of a legal precedur.. only it seemed very strange she is with Women worldwide but not paris.. mainly because Silent has only isabeli and anna selezneva as big names.. with all my respect but they have only likeare like 10 girls.. so it's so not big i suppose.

thanks very much for answering me back..

now that i discovered she was with Silent in 2005, things are more clear. she didn't leave Women to joing a little agency (it seemed strange in fact and maybe a bad move) but she went back to her roots and she did very well with them, as anna s.

yes she is.. carmen kass, anna selezneva and isabeli fontana are the 3 bigs. also ana beatriz barros. they have not many girls, 15 in total i think

Hmm I am still confused about Women Direct as well - Jessica Hart? Daniela Pestova? I thought it was going to be newer faces? I guess it is a certain group of bookers, with whichever models they manage?

I agree about not fixing what is not broken. Changing when things are going well is always a gamble. It hasn't seemed to do much for all the girls who left One - Denisa, Michaela, Olga, Aline, Candace etc.
