Models Switching Agencies

it seems as if FORD, Supreme, and NEXT
always have the model drama whereas
IMG, Elite, and DNA kind of just quietly release models
and its never a big deal

Another people related example is if her agent / booker moves to another agency.

Can you give some examples of shows and magazines that represent a "private territory" relationship - I believe you I just would like some examples.

One that I remember hearing about is Karl Lagerfeld and NEXT - of course it does not apply 100% because I know that some of his favorites like Freja, Iris and recently Natasha are not with Next, but I think he gets a lot of his "chorus line" models from NEXT.

I wouldn't be surprised if old Supreme (nuFord?) had relationships with, if not designers then casting directors.

What else?

for shows it is more related to casting directors, in magazine it is a bit more complicated;)
i would not say that there is anybody or any magazine "linked" to just one agency. But talking about Lagerfeld, for sure u wont find much of his cast out of the few really big agencies.
In Paris, IMG is very close to the group owning "l officiel", which clearly makes quiet easy for their new faces to book more quickly editos in magazine of that group than in any other agency in Paris.

Russel Marsh if not of course "officially" seems to proportionnally book very regularly more girls from just "some" agencies doesn't he:innocent:

These are just few examples, but there are many many link like that, it is a business which actually works a lot from these unknown link, more than any other kind of business.

I never realised that! When you think about it Women/Ford/Next/ always have the tendency to hype and buzz their models.

Not relevant at all, still..

Tabea Köbach: Modelwerk > Iconic ()

Janine Henkes: Iconic > ?

Thats interesting...i still dont understand why IMG would allow their girls too switch eveywhere except NY

What was her former placement? I just remember Elite Paris, IMG Milan and Storm London, is that correct?

well...they dont have "to allow".
if the mother agency tell to IMG that they can keep the girl in NY only, it is up to IMG to keep the girl at least in NY or to loose her everywhere;)
Her MA is closely linked to Elite, it was i think just a matter of time before they would swicth her.

IMG NY is anyway a bit "apart" in the IMG network, so it is a bit different for there.

Anais Mali: Wilhelmina --> Ford NY
Coco Rocha: Why Not --> Elite Milan
Inna Pilipenko: Supreme --> Next --> Ford NY

That's a good thing, I always thought she belonged at IMG. I think they can help her in her quest to become a household name.

.. will Supreme become the new One? (ie girls decamping left and right?) At least they have J.Jab still..

I think if a girl like Jacquelyn is doing well at Supreme for example, there is no reason for her to leave for IMG... there is no type of guarantee she will do better at IMG.

If there was a new model, however, and I had to choose a NY agency then yes.. for sure IMG > Supreme

Well given the track record of Supreme's team while they were with Ford, it isn't surprising at all that one of their top girls left for another agency. That's one of the reasons Paul Rowland was brought in. It really is just a matter of time b4 J. Jablonski leaves, unfortunately. If they're lucky, she'll go to Women. At least then it will be within the family.
