Look, I'm not a fan of Next's tactics, but let's be honest here. Calling Ford the agency that made Kendra, is an absolute and utter falsehood. All of Kendra's success is thanks to Elite Milan and Paris, though the latter more than anything else. Compare her showlists from Paris to New York, and tell me which city does better by this girl. Moreover, her European agencies were the ones that started her career in S/S 09, whereas she did next to nothing of significance while in NY.
Ford's general motivation is, and always will be money. They're not a boutique, they don't focus on developing a star, they focus on making money. Because of this, they have a rather loose strategy for models in which they seemingly throw as many darts as they can at the metaphoric board, and hope that one of them will stick.
Does this excuse Next? No. But the notion that the lawsuit claims that Ford made her a star is utterly ludicrous.
