Models Switching Agencies

Camila was only with IMG for like eight months, though... She had nothing to lose by leaving Ford, considering her career was completely dead, but for that same reason, i don't think she could expect any miracles from IMG. sometimes people seem to think they'll have an instant career revival just by switching to a bigger agency.

however, i guess this switch has more to do with her going back to her old mother agency (Ford Brazil)

still dont understand why snejana would go to next milan instead of women milan???

Yfke Sturm : Storm -> Next models

Kendra Spears : Independent -> Next models

Adi Neumann : IMG ->Wihelmina

Daniela Lopes : Marilyn NY -> Women Direct

Caroline Ribeiro : Women -> Marilyn Paris

Marie Meyer : Viva -> IMG Paris

Did Raquel switch too? I can't find her on Why Not's website anymore.
she's still there on the main board and also if you click shows :flower:

ETA: but when i try to open her book it says 'no pictures' :ermm:

What is the difference between Women Direct and Women?

If Supreme is the "intelligently beautiful" sister of Women, Women-direct is just the "little sister" of Women. I don't know if that makes sense, but the same question has been asked many times, and I don't think anyone really has a clear answer :flower:

It makes sense but I wonder what their aesthetic is like Supreme and Women. Well, whatever it just seems weird to have a Women Direct when there's Women, but that's just me.

The aesthetic? It just takes a look at their website to get, at least a part, of the aesthetic they want to promote. I agree there is nowhere a clear statement about it, neither on their site nor in the press but if you look at the girls, their beauty types you might have a hint of what it's all about... as different from Women as Supreme is (imo).

What I meant by aesthetic was that Supreme promotes a somewhat intelligent, very thin, androgynous model where as in my opinion, Women promotes eclectic but can also book a beauty contract and Women direct is a little more sultry than Women but my question is why name it Women-Direct when the agency can have it's own name but is still linked to Women like Supreme? It just seems slightly weird.

I think you are looking too far about explications for Women direct.
It is just a business, and there are many purely business/administrativ/shareholders... reasons which can make interesting to make a new independant divisions instead of making to grow and to grow the same company.
nobody in Women has so far be able to give any "modeling/artistic" justification for that move...

Also dont forget it is modeling, and that it is a business where the monney behind the agencies is not always 100% pure clean to say the least...:innocent:

I was just asking the question of why there was a women direct i'm not looking too into any explications just a question, calm down.

An agent told me that Women Direct is planned to be more commercial and was created to maintain a small board of models in Women
Am I being clear? Hope you understand :flower:

This has never been stated and is just my assumption, but I'm guessing since Women seems to be expanding in terms of number of girls and influence in the industry, it is a way to maintain a boutique like feeling, Supreme board, Women board, Women-direct board. Instead of being a behemoth like IMG where there are SoooOooo many girls on their development page alone.

Again.. just my assumption/guess.

On a side note, does anyone know why girls are with Women Worldwide, but are not listed on Women NY's site? They appear in Women Milan very very fast, but Women NY takes very long to add girls, and seems more selective who they display.
