^ Yeah, Lia Pavlova (Model #1 for F/W 2016 shows) is going to switch to another agency somewhere too. For now she's with One NY too. And she said it's not Paris agency, so I assume it's One NY since Marjan and Luma's leaving.

Wasn't her last agency move a big mess? I thought she left her modeling agency for a talent agency?

I don't know if comparing Kate and Karolin's careers makes any sense.

She left to pursue a film career, but if she had a thriving modelling career I doubt she would've left to begin with. I think she was completely mismanaged by her previous agency, whoever they were. Not a fan of her at all, but it looked like the agency just let her weather the hype without fully capitalising on it. There wasn't that push, or initiative, you know. Backed by Meisel, Anna, Alexandra Shulman, and Carine/Gan, but how much hf campaigns, runway work and covers does she have? Not enough. That's what always irked me when non fashion outlets used to report that she's taken the hf world by storm, she didn't. Her previous agency probably took it for granted thinking that those backers would remain loyal to her (and to some extent they did), but I would've used those connections to secure new clients. Strike while the iron is still hot, figuratively speaking. In theory she should've been way ahead of Kendall & Gigi by now because she started the social media model craze, yet she's actually way behind.

Kate and Karolin's careers are very different, maybe Sore meant that Next is very adept at relaunching a model's career. That's how I read it. Anyway, so I guess in a way I can look past their awful poaching ways, lol.

I find it interesting that Kate Upton went to Next. When she left IMG, they framed it as if it was to focus on film. She went to the talent agency WME which has the same parent company as IMG which made sense. She's still with WME, but now with Next which I can imagine as a conflict of interest.

Didn't one of IMG's top bookers move to Next a year ago to become its president or creative director or something? I wonder if he wasn't Upton's booker while they were both with IMG, and she just decided to join him at Next.

^^So Women Direct didn't do a thing for Issa when she was with them. Muse did all the work, invested all the time and money, and now that she's got the interest of the fashion biz, Women swoops in and steals here away to reap the benefits of Muse's work.

Yeah it looks kinda like that. Seems like Muse did everything for her.

I know one girl who worked with Issa in Milan maybe 4-5 years ago. So she said Issa was crying all days long because no one wanted to work with her. So maybe it was just not her time?

And seems like she has a lot of friends there at Women

Muse lost their 2 main image bookers - one to Wilhelmina
and one to One so I guess it was just a matter of time before those cool girls they made left. Surprised she didn't follow either of them though..

Kyle Hagler from IMG is a president at Next now.I don't think he ever managed Kate Upton, but I can see her going there because of him.
