Good for Mikio receiving this exposure! His work really stood out to me at the grad show. ^_^ [LINK]

That's a nice link too, iperlchen thank you :p

these are lovely, kind of makes me think art fabrics... hand-painted and hand-stitched

wow,all three look absolutely gorgeous! mikio,i adore as well. his prints are amazing and the embellishment on that top is marvellous! peter....loving the velvet and that jacket. hope to see more of Lecomte...the prints and that silhouette looks great.

great to see FFI taking on such an endeavour....

thanks perle!, I've been having great expectations on him since I saw him last year (virtually of course! :p ). he's being sponsored by the Japanese government according to Sayan.. hence the big jump without a single internship on his book.

Interesting... I think I need to see more before I judge. Thank you for posting.

the shapes peter worked with in the jackets are similar to the kind matthew ames worked with this season. very cool.

and i really love the way mikio's work is presented here better than his look-book somehow. more intricate light. i love that shirt with the jewelled gilet and the accessories Heaven did

i do wish there was more to see of lecomte though :( I saw some of the images she did for her look-book but because of the shadow play(albeit extremely beautiful!)and the size of the images,it's hard to see much of. they do look lovely of what i can tell,on the dummies.

almost forgot---

What's happening in the background? :o Are they just candles... they look like wires and odd things that might go into the dresses. And there are some belt-like things in the last photo...

I can't believe I missed this when it was posted! It's really some great work, but I can't get over A) the venue and B) how bizarrely close one of Peter's dresses looks to one of Lanvin's. The resemblence is so striking! Especially since they were both designed for the same season!

Love it all, especially the use of embellishment and texture. These clothes are sublime, they are the future (hopefully).
