Faretta's demise Should be taught in school as example on how to ruin a stellar career. She was literally every where precovid and turned into a nobody right after pandemic. She was both a PGDM and Ashley Brokaw favorite at the peak of her career. She reminds me of Snejana regarding People complaining about her behavior. But I guess most casting director started dropping her after she got that hideous cleavage infinite tattoo...

Agree but she isn't the only one tho, most of the girls from her generation disappeared like Birgit, Cara T, Luna B, Mayowa, Grace E, Kris Grikaite and so on..

oh THAT tattoo.. it always.. irked me. also, she was walking Zuhair Murad literally yesterday and i could not help but notice that she looks radically different in my opinion

Grace is still doing fine, I presume her slowing down was a mixture of her drastic haircut & motherhood more than time passing by as she still books top jobs when she does. Mayowa’s likely financially stable with VS alone & chooses to opt out of most other jobs. From what I can tell, it also seems Cara’s career halting was more so a personal choice than anything else.

If we are to attribute Faretta’s blacklisting to diva behavior, I’d argue Selena acts in very similar ways - and yet she continues to be a heavy PG & Ashley favorite, even after several career hiatuses of her own. Birgit is also a total sweetheart and yet undoubtedly no longer has the career backing she once did. No clue what happened with Faretta, but my educated guess is that it surely must’ve been something larger than simply being difficult - the tattoo might be a better guess after all…

I miss Birgit she is such a nice person, so polite and she always put in the work. don't know why no one booked her.. I don't see any reason why miss candle getting booked but Birgit don't.
also loli is booking left and right again this season so happy for her, whereas Amelia (so gray and bland ) but still getting booked.. her mother making those calls for sure. And Mona is the one carrying the shows ATM.

Could you elaborate on Selena and Faretta? I'm not familiar with their diva antics.

Curious to see how this season goes for new faces and debuts after the...disaster of last season. Minus Stella Hanan, there weren't many breakout girls. In addition to Prada/LV, I've got my eye on Marc and CK's runway return to be the shows to watch for major debuts. Praying we have some stars this year!

I was just thinking of Stella Hannan last night and wondered if she’s gonna take off with multiple campaigns, editorials etc. I’m watching the space. My only reservation is that she has a conventionally pretty face and you have someone like Rosalieke Fuchs already in that category so we’ll have to see

Jacquemus had the classic casting of Piergiorgio Del Moro. I was hoping for Vittoria Ceretti but I think she will skip the couture even if I thought she would have done at least Chanel

Maybe, but she skipped couture even before dating DiCaprio and instead walked for Chanel last July for example.

I'm completely amazed that Stella skipped Mens + Couture Week as a whole, assumed she'd at least be at Sacai & Schiaparelli (+ likely JPG, and/or Lanvin - also, no campaigns for her at all?)... I guess it's all in the name of strategy, but when you have just about every other new face who walked several large shows doing a full couture + menswear season, and you quite literally are the archetype for the [HC Model], I'd only be able to hope she can sustain her momentum enough to have a stable career off RTW alone these next few seasons.

I loved the mens casting this season so far.
Namely, Dior was not bad in general.
Dara, Matthew Seymour, Kamil.. great faces, great walks.

Mona, Rianne and Vittoria are wonderful but I really need a generation switch. Karolina came close but I feel like she's already gone.

I believe that generational change must happen gradually, not suddenly. Vittoria has drastically reduced the number of shows in 2024, Rianne didn't even do a catwalk last September and Mona, as far as I'm concerned, is still in the prime of her career.

Sorry, I just realized this thread is mostly about shows and not overall coverage.
