undecided, I like it in some of the images, but not sure I would myself wear it. And the extra pair of hands on the comme des garcons jsut keeps drawing me back

never knew the name of this fabric..very interesting. i like it, but it's very hard to pull off.
maybe on a small jacket or skirt would work

I like it and I dont at the same time.

I hate it because it reminds me of the curtains in my house back when I was a baby.

And it also reminds me of the pics of my mom's prom pictures in a very stiff pasted moire dress.

I like it on certain things, such as big coats, I actually had this dark emerald green moire coat that I found at the thrift store, and I never used it, so I dumped it, I sorta regret it now, because I see the hidden beauty depending on what you wear it with.

In bit pieces, excellent, as shown on Proenza, hell no.

I'd wear the Proenza Schouler skirt (that is a separate skirt right?) and the Jenni Kayne dress, not much else though unless it was to a costume party

i mean i don't know about this...
what is the original fabric used to get this effect? taffeta?
this moire would not work on tv or film...that is what we try to avoid when it comes to patterns and other prints (tight stripes, some houndstooth & others).

^is it because pattern is too distracting? haha, that's really interesting

i think this fabric is just made with any sort of glossy thread, like silk
and then the moire pattern is woven in with metallic threads
that's at least one way... i guess it's easier to print the pattern these days

i like it... i'd love to try making it once i get my loom back
something sort of subtle/dark like the proenza schouler skirt is nice, i think

I guess in the right color it can look good, but on average it looks aged and not in a good way

Hum ... Id approve it on outerwear ... not sure about dresses ...

It reminds me of wood grain, although i like the Jenni Kayne dress. It seems very limited to pull off.
