Scarlett Johansson Questions Monogamy

scarlett_johansson_thumb4.jpg
Josh Hartnett better keep his eyes open, because his girl Scarlett Johansson has claimed that monogamy is unnatural .
She says, "I don't think human beings are monogamous by nature. It's difficult - you have to put a lot of effort into a relationship." She also gave her thoughts on dating actors, saying "I think it's hard for actors to date each other because they are so damn moody. You are away from people constantly and having a relationship that is strictly by phone, it is miserable. Or if you say to him/her, 'Hey, (even though) I am doing a very sexy scene with this very sexy girl/boy, I love you and I'm going to be thinking of you when I am rolling around in bed with this person!'"

There is some truth in what she said, although I think that some people actually prefer being in a monagamous relationship. I know I do.

 How dare anyone have to put effort into anything?

Well, she can get pretty much anyone she wants so she feels like thats normal for everyone...not to generalize, but i wonder how many of us would be monogomous if we could have anyone and everyone that ever caught our eye

Many of us can have whomever we want, and yet we still prefer monogamy:smile:

It's a personal choice and everyone is free to choose as long as they are ready for the consequences... May those be good or bad...

Well, keep in mind she is only, what, 20? I am guessing her views and opinions may change as she gets older... and more mature...

I understand what she's is saying, despite the fact I have an irrational 'hatred' of her. I don't think its right to say she will mature out of this view point, as I don't believe it is immature. Not everyone believes in life-long romances or anything near that...

Speaking as one of those individuals who can "have whomever we want," I prefer "poly-multi-partite-ogamy" or the anti-monogamy. It allows me to repeat killer outfits without feeling shamed or embarrassed.

That Scarlett girl is wise beyond her years, and she was great in Ghost World ta boot.

:ninja:

Well if she's talking about it in an interview was it? then she's probably already discussed it with Josh and if he's cool with it and she obviously is cool with it then good for them, whatever they like!! Personally, I am into monogamy alone but other people's business who I wouldn't date r just that, other people's business. My opinion!

I agree about "minding my own business". Personally though..i don't see how monogamy ISN'T easy. I've always viewed true love as effortless. I just don't have an interest in men other than my boyfriend, and that state of mind hasnt' demanded any extra effort from my part or his as he's the same.

I never said that her opinions are immature. She, as a person, will grow, however. And as we grow, our views sometimes change. We all mature through life... mature means to grow... and I'll be more mature next year than I am right now.

I'm not surprised by these statements she has a hard look to her and seems kind of wild. And I hate hate HATE her new nose ring piercing *shudders*.

errr......something tells me that's the mind set of anyone who is happily dating Josh. Personally, I think most stars are like this. Exhibitionists addicted to the attention of others, ie Hollywood stars, are not known to be faithful. Especially not when they're under 40. She's just far more honest than most, that's all.
