:ninja: what is that exactly... big celebrity.. oh no, we don't need that..!

it's funny that h&m opened SO far away from the downtown area, but I think they'll open one downtown afterwards (when they make sure they can make some $$ over here, because the rent downtown is way too expensive)...! i don't think it'll change anything about the fashion in montreal, because you see, the opening of zara didn't improve anything as well..... :innocent:

I thought the two stores they opened were going to be at Fairview Pointe Claire and Galeries D'anjou...!

ok, in defense of montreal, st laurent, buona notte, globe, etc... are just the about the worst example you can give. all these girls dressing absolutely alike are the clueless college kids who come here, are oh-so-excited about how cool the scene is, and think they can do the same by incorporating every trend in the book in one outfit. those kids arent even from here. there are some stylish people at mcgill for example though, who actually are distinctive and dont dress like everybody else, but thats not the majority. even though if you compare it with any school in the states we put them to shame, regardless. but the neighborhood to go to is the plateau if you wanna see style. mile end too. but absolutely not st laurent (except for the few scattered cool people always around there) if anybody wants i can post pictures of my friends and parties and things like that

no i got the the inside scoop for a very very sure source. fairview then rockland then anjou then laval and in fall downtown ( they already got the place) and southshore.

speaking of DEVON the aformentioned-pictured MUCH MUSIC Vj:
im not sure if he counts as montreal or toronto street style (or if theres a difference in his case) but --while i agree hes some what of a joke and obviously if youre not into the indie kid/hipster blah blah vibe it makes sense he would repulse you -- consiering the medium, and demographic he's supposed to appeal to and ESPECIALLY compared to the musique plus VJS and even fellow much music vj's i dont think he's completely worthless.
atleast he's trying. even if its too hard.
for sure a step up from youll find at the foufs or jupitor room or any of those type o' hang outs.

BABSTER - you can post your pics, any pics of montreal streetstyle are welcome

he s such a wannabe looser:yuk:

the term 'wannabe' has been tossed around a lot within this same context.
i dunnoh, are there actually REAL un-wannabe hispter/indie/emo-ee/scene kids? and do they walk the streets of MONTREAL???
and what discerning points validate their authenticity over someone elses?
i think its a bit difficult to say when you have these cross-over music/fashion/etc lifestyle genres. how do you find the appropraite balance. i guess i think devon actually has a real appreciation for the fashion side of things (though it may not fit your bill or mine) which is more than can be said for a lot of the musique plus montreal media knobs.

he's got nothin on ben mulroney.

musique plus vjs have absolutely no style at all. if i was to compare them to Devon i guess he'd win but then again u can t compare nothing major to nothing major:blink:

I live in laval (montreal wannabe suburb) n like when i go downtown mtl, i feel at home, lol my style is too kinda "out there" for boring laval ppl. im gonna start takeing pics of ppl, wont b too hard!

devon is actually from montreal, he got the gig in toronto just last year. he's still a wannabe tho, thats for sure.

i hate musipleplus vjs "style",way too grungy. izabelle desjardin looks like she is 17 with her tuques and piggy tails and skater shoes. she looks really good when she dresses like a woman tho.

ya, devon s from here and iza, well don t even get me started, she can barelly speak correct french and her style...

It's on the very border of Parc X and TMR.

The centre's director told me that they used to get more traffic from the Parc X postal codes than the TMR postal codes. When people in Parc X moved to Laval they chose to go to Carrefour Laval instead (which basically has the same stores, if not more)

I think the decrease in people traffic was why Holts closed. The construction on the Rockland circle certainly did not help.

I hope H&M carries the same stuff when it opens here as in the USA. I dont really like all their clothes. They seem to have some nice trendy stuff, but a lot is not very nice. You have to look. I do love their accessories though!!! And, it is sooooooooooooooo cheap!!!!!!!!! I cant wait for that!

can any one tell me how to get to the fairview mall or shopping center or whatever it is by metro? Thanks.

ur best bet is the metro then bus. am not sure but i think u can get off at du college metro and take 202 all the way to the mall.
