Music that makes you cry

I never cry from music, or movies, or books, or stuff like that, but the one song that makes me sad is Jeff Buckley---Halleluja. Its a sweet song, but it only chokes me up because at the time when I was listening to it a lot I was going through a pretty rough time.

I don't know about crying.. but that effects me deeply? For a person that almost never cries I guess it can go for the same? If not *shame on me* :p

Jeff Buckley
- Hallelujah
- Corpus Christie Carol (For Roy)

Ryan Adams
- Wonderwall

Trespassers William
- Lie in the sound
- Vapour Trail
- In A Song

Mazzy Star
- Into Dust

Pink Floyd
- Wish You Were Here
- Comfortably Numb

So hehe, me being a huge music fan it's a very bad thing to get me started on these things, but I'm gonna keep it to this. Believe me though, I wanna write so many more songs but yes *contains self*. . . .and well, I know this one may seem kind of dumb, but when ever the song 'and I'm proud to be an American' comes on I can't help but begin to tear up.

The reason is that I'm a military brat. . .and when I was 6 my Mom was sent to Saudi Arabia for about a year and a half for Operation Desert Storm. This song was playing when she left, and I just associate it with the pain and feelings of abandonment that a little kid gets when their Mommy leaves. I didn't understand that she had no choice and she was just doing her job.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned these yet (they probably are), but I find these tearful/sad/depressing...

"Fade Into You" - Mazzy Star
"River" - Joni Mitchell
"Nocturne in E minor, Op. 72 No. 1" - Chopin
"Gloomy Sunday" - Sarah McLachlan (there are many versions of this song, AKA the Hungarian Suicide Anthem, but Sarah McLachlan's is just so depressing)
"See You Soon" - Coldplay
"Adagio for Strings" - Barber
"Strange Fruit" - Billie Holiday
"Nothing Compares To You" - Sinead O'Connor
"Flautino Concerto in C" - Vivaldi

Lots more...
