It was so great to see her at Givenchy! :magic::woot:

You can go anywhere you want in Paris, during fashion weeks you're almost sure you'll always see a model. In the streets, the subways and that famous cafés with the name starting by S (nothing très parisien, just the ones you have everywhere else). Were just sitting there for a latte at the end of our trip when a fragile silhouette crossed the room. Platinum blond hair, elegant walk -- no doubt the young lady was a model. Naomi Preizler was the first name we had in mind and unless it was just a dream, it couldn't not be her. Well, it's quite possible we didn't dream that day when you know she walked Givenchy two days before.
So, Naomi was in town and didn't remain unnoticed. Booking Givenchy plus a few more key catwalks that might help her in the future, our impression she finally managed to put herself on the map got stronger this time. Moving step by step but definitely placing herself on an international level now, Naomi can rely on a pretty unusual face and natural sense of style as her signature looks. And on that little je ne sais quoi that disturbs you from sipping your latte.

She is SUCH a well-spoken girl. Only adds to her increadible "physical-sympathy" ^_^

As you are from Buenos Aries, do you have any clue why we have so many Argentinian models at the moment? What do you think is the main point that distinguishes the Argentinian from the European girls for example?
I don’t belive there’s an Argentinian kind of "beauty-stereotype". It’s just not like most of the countries of South and Central America. Cause in Argentina most of us come from European families. My grandparents for example are from Germany and Poland. So regarding our appearance we look a lot like the European girls. What distinguishes us is our inner beauty, the way of life we are used to from our country. The containment of our big families and friends, the cultural background, the warmness of our people etc. We travel when we are ready, when we feel grown up enough, so if we are doing this - it is because we really want it and know how lucky we are to be living and working in the a first world country. Besides that, our agencies are rather small and therefore we usually have a close relationship with our mother agents, who travel with us most of the times when we have our first trip abroad or during fashion weeks.
We show ourselves just the way we are: fresh, natural and friendly; we are not pretentious cause our country is not. Maybe this season clients have started to notice these positive aspects about us.

What's one goal you'd like to achieve, before you leave earth?

So many things! Right now I’m really into this career and I like what I do, but I have many artistic aspirations as well. I love to paint and draw, I have studied with different artists and read a lot about art history as well as refugee in every museum or exhibition whenever I can. I would like to participate in an art biennale, act in a movie, write a book or a script, design a fashion line or consult for a house, and I’d love to participate in trips to help children with needs around the world someday. Sometimes I wish I could live parallel lives, so that I can do all the things I’d like to!

What can you tell me about the upcoming projects you have? Where are you off to next?
At the moment I’m in London. Then I’m going back to Buenos Aires to spend Pesaj (Passover) with my family. I’m a big family person!
By half of April I’m flying to NY; It’s gonna be my first time living there so I’m quite excited, besides I’m looking forward to having big coffee cups, jazz live bars and good cocktails.

People are talking more and more about the diversity of models on the runways - going from skinny to plus sized etc. What are your thoughts on this?

Are they? It would be great to see them between us. Cause the women in the world are so diverse, so its silly that the skinny ones represent them all. There should be with no doubt more diversity between models. I'm sure 80% of women in the world have more than 90 cm on their hips. And believe me, I’ve seen lots of models who had put on a bit of weight, getting cancelled from shows because of that. I’ll put you an example with paintings: you can stare Rubens big shaped naked female paintings for a long time getting stunned by the beauty of the figures; their boobs, their hips, their nicely muscled legs. Women with harmonic bodies. And they don’t need any clothes cause it would be a pity to cover their wonderful big shaped body. It’s just beautiful the way it is. You can also watch the skinny consumed female figures of Egon Schiele’s paintings that are great, interesting, androgynous, but not beautiful.
So there comes fashion that covers perfectly these bodies, but can’t deal with such big curves like Ruben’s ones. I wonder when there will be a season where we will be seeing a plus sized model as a newcomer.

Are you a still living with your family? How do you like this ‘life out of the suitcase’ during fashion weeks?

Well, I have been waiting to go abroad since I was 14. So it was a great opportunity to travel when finishing school. I love to be on my own and independent, feeling responsible and meeting new people from different cultures all the time. This is my rythm at the moment. I like to be around as much as I can while I am still young. I hate monotony and am always looking for something new and fresh. It fills me up with energy.

Marilyn Monroe once said: "Dreaming about being an actress, is more exciting than being one." Do you think this phrase also is accurate for modelling?

Good point. We all dream about objectives we want to pursue on life, but what we maybe don’t know is the path we have to follow - with all it's barriers until we make our dream come true. I think a lot of models have dreamt about this glamorous fantasy world but then they realize it’s a hard and demanding career where you have to keep on working and giving the best of yourself as we are so exposed most of the time. I just take it as different levels I’ve got to go through and raise to the next one. This is a long way and every step I make is for the better; I like to keep it calmed and stable enjoying every moment. So after this long path the “dream” can appear. It’s the last level. If you have this in mind it makes the way more exciting and encourages you while growing up.

How was it when you were doing your first castings for fashion weeks - did you tend to compare yourself to the other girls like "hmm she might have a better walk" and so on?

In this career, as I said before, you are very exposed and compared to the rest of the cast most of the time, especially during fashion week. Cause a show has to have a certain harmony among the models. Most of the clients book models that fit in their cloth, in their collection and are similar to the line up. There are some others, very few ones, who choose you because they see something on you, a kind of energy. That’s the work of a creative director; to be able to imagine something on you, the whole style. Each girl is different and for a different look, there’s no one better. There are the ones who are more confident and feel beautiful no matter what; so if they believe it, the others will. I don’t pretend anything else than being myself.

Is fashion something inspiring and artistical to you or just something to use in a way to look good?

I enjoy acting a lot and look forward to art. Fashion is the connection between them both. So as a model I’m allowed to perform the art of the designer. To transmit what the creative director has in mind. I’m the connection between him and the audience. So all the work (from the clothes to the hair, make-up, styling etc) is made on the model and she’s the one who everybody’s going to see in the final look. And if she believes it, if she’s strong enough and inspiring, the audience will take it. I love the idea of being inspiring to people, and get inspired by them as well. To feel the energy from the lighting, the clothes, the make-up, the music and the photographer just turn me up. If we are all connected and put together our energies then a great team will come up. This is teamwork and we work on creating a fantasy world, an artistic one and I’m the character in it. I love performing different ones and not just always be myself. That’s what I want to show to people.

Tell us something about your time in Paris this season. Are you already missing it or are you glad that all the fashion week buzz is finally over?

Well, actually I loved the adrenalin during fashion week. The rushing, the backstages, the other models, the press following you, the idea of not having time to get with negative thoughts… I’m so focused during that time that I feel like a lover to fashion and all my other problems are forgotten. Of course it’s nice to have some rest after all and coming back to earth again, but it’s a bit quiet the week after and I’m already missing it!

Are people, let’s say, "more attached" to you since you are a model?

That’s inevitable. I’ve been modelling at my country while I was attending high school and it felt weird walking down my school everybody looking at me and talking about my modelling stuff. I didn’t like it at all cause I’m a very humble person. Of course also they boys act different and either are more interested or totally afraid of you, so it’s been difficult to find a boyfriend since then! But my friends are still the same ones from all my school years, who grew up and learnt about my career at the same time with me. If somebody comes to me because he or she recognizes my work, they are welcome! Lots of people tend to think that I’m a cooler person cause I’m a model, so I’m always trying my best to let them still think it by showing my “inner model” first.

If you could appear in a music video, which musician(s) would it be and why?

I would have loved to participate in an imaginary video of some 60s British bands like The Kinks or The Who. I don’t know, I just like their simple pure opera rock sound. It’s so harmonious and the 60’s are a decade I would have loved to live in. If I had to choose a nowadays band it would be The XX, it has some melancholic rocky sound which makes my body and soul rest free and lose their inhibitions. Every time they play this kind of music in a shooting the pictures turn out stunning afterwards!

In the end: besides modelling, which profession would you like to pursue?

I’ve been into art all my life and surrounded by an artistic family, my grandmother is a sculptress and I’ve always enjoyed being at her atelier. I draw and paint as much as I can when I’ve got some free time as well as catching up with every new art exhibition. So if I would have to choose something to devote my life to, it would be art. Fashion inspires me so much, so I’m absorbing as much as I can at the moment. Anyway, one thing leads to another. I want to let myself go free, not plan, just live the present and get surprised.

Love these three new shots. The atmosphere is so soft, all the colours kind of soften her look, but still the roughness which is characteristic for her gets through
