Kills was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire to a Jamaican father and Uruguayan mother. She was raised in Leeds, London and Barcelona, studying at the Yorkshire College of Music and Drama and at age fourteen she moved to London to pursue her passion in dramatic art. Both her parents taught and trained professionally in combat sports and were award winning martial artists.
Kills' debut album Perfectionist was released April 2011 in Germany. Kills has also produced and co-directed a mini-series, Love Kills xx, and a film under the working tittle The Exhibition, which have been made concurrently with the album, the latter acting as the soundtrack to the film. The album's first single, "Mirrors", was released in US in August 2010, and was eventually released in her native UK in April 2011. In October 2010, Kills opened for Kelis' European All Hearts Tour, as well as supporting Robyn on her Body Talk Tour in November. Her second single, "Wonderland" was released on in April 2011.
