Need help making headbands

Anyone have any ideas how to make this style headband? They look like yarn...

you could use a regular headband and then add fabric on to it?
look for trims, braids, cords, edgings @ fabric shops --they look like this, i think
you can stitch it to a stretchy band or elastic i suppose. functions just like a headband
