New York Magazine February 23, 2009 : Kate Moss by Bert Stern

she's great!! I think she makes her age... and i like it! she's just herself...^_^

I hate it not because of the lack of photoshop, but because the styling, the make up, the lighting, the poses, everything is absolutely awful. The worst spread I've seen in ages.

some shots of the previous Bert Stern & Kate editorial ...
but in VP ... in 2001 ? 2002 ?

Kate looks real and fabulous! The woman is an enigma, a total chameleon which has made her one of the most iconic models of our time. She really gets the threads at TFS heated up at any rate:lol:

I do agree with you there, the makeup/styling is horrendous. But at least the statement is being made (lack of photoshop, 'raw'ness)

kate's pictures are a mess. It looks like she woke up and walked right out of the trailer park to her her photos taken.

yes, i don't think that the styling was at its best. even more so, i believe they went for almost all the cliches that could ruin the allure of 'raw shots'. this type of pin-up eroticism has nothing to do with realness or rawness. if it's not about cheap bad-executed softcore as someone has already mentioned.
what can i say? a good intention, a bad execution. and the layout pretty much sucks. poor girl.

Kate Moss proves again that she's a gorgeous and sweet woman. And she looks so feminine ^_^!

I see that New York Magazine did a "Last Sitting" editorial with Lindsay Lohan in February 2008 that turned out much worse than this one did, with Lindsay's usual photogenic magic deserting her under the lens of Stern (media.nymag.com).

However, to be fair to everyone involved, Marilyn was looking tired when the original images were taken, so to see Kate et al looking slightly rough in these shots is a deliberate trick, though nobody imbues it with the charm that MM managed to radiate, even to the last of her days.
