It takes some serious courage to release a debut album with a lead track called "I'm the Best." But Nicki Minaj is nothing if not courageous-and even, if she doesn't mind our saying so, a little ballsy. That brashness is what we love about Nicki's rapping, along with the kind of kookiness that goes along with inventing multiple alter-egos, including "Cookie," "Harajuku Barbie," "Nicki Teresa," and "Roman Zolanski." And she's got some impressive friends, to boot-one of the most memorable moments on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy comes during "Monster," when Minaj guest-raps, "Let me get this straight, wait, I'm the rookie / But my features and my show's ten times your pay? / 50K for a verse, no album out!" And she deserved every penny. Quotable in 2010: "I don't mind being called a weirdo," Minaj told Interview in June. "There are a lot of people in hip-hop who are probably never going to get what I do. But, by just being myself, I end up touching a lot more people who might never have paid much attention to a female rapper."

We're crazy about Bottoms Up song, we listen to it day and night (people in public probably think we're crazy because we're also doing some funny faces while singing). Anyway, we were really drunk so we went to the toilet and right when we were trying to pull ourself together the song was on and we missed it! I was waiting for it all night.

aw your friend! you know they've got the bum bums on their mind . i thought the song title and lyrics of Bottoms Up is pretty straight forward but it continues to confuse people! when i sang "Trey, "Yo Trey" could buy me a bottle of Rose'?", a different friend asked me "what's Trey?"...COME ON! i know he doesn't like Trey Songz but you can't be that dense!

from what i read, seems like a lot of people don't like Dear Old Nicki... often times they say they only want her to 'go hard' on every track, fighting imaginary demons or something... ~ different strokes #Kanye shrug. ironically, DON addresses the fact that she doesn't want to be the same all the time . she's a human beinnnnnnnnnnnng!
