Here's part of the article from ElleGirl.com:
Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Nicole From small-town girl in North Dakota to America's Next Top Model--I guess dreams really do come true.
By Anne Ichikawa. Photographed by Gilles Bensimon. Styled by Laurie Trott.
Tyra Banks says, "She's got that 'It' thing." Twiggy explains, "She has that magical something that you can't quite put your finger on. It's not enough to just be pretty." J. Alexander kids, "She stood out-even in her most boring moments!" And Nigel Barker testifies, "She is going to redefine apple pie by putting a little bit of blueberry in it." Wait--what? We think that's a good thing, Nigel...but either way, Nicole Linkletter from Grand Forks, North Dakota, is the latest America's Next Top Model winner. We've seen her whine over getting muddy, obsessively hunt for Chapstick and have her footsies massaged by Steve-O from Wildboyz. But despite all the fights and incorrectly made Cups o' Noodles, the blue-eyed 20-year-old has come out as #1.
When did you first become interested in modeling?
I have dreamed of being a model since I was a little kid. I was the tall, lanky, gangly girl. Everyone goes through stages where they feel awkward and uncomfortable, but I got through it.
What's your idea of beautiful?
If you're confident, it shows through in everything you do. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it comes from within and shines outward.
What was your first reaction to making the show?
I was really, really excited. When I made it to semifinals, I was just like, 'I have to get on this show.' Then as soon as I got on the show, I had to win the show. I was prepared to take anything on.
What was life in the house like?
We weren't allowed to watch TV or anything, so we kind of relied on each other for entertainment. We had some really fun times in the house. But at the same time, we knew we were all competing, so it was hard to get too friendly.
Watching the show, do you think you were portrayed fairly?
Yes, I see myself as how I am on the show. I'm outgoing, I think I'm funny--I laugh at myself a lot [Laughs]--I have a positive outlook on life, and generally I'm just a really happy person.
Do you keep in contact with anyone?
I talk to Ebony. I love her--I think she's hilarious. I talk to Kyle and Kim once in a while; they're awesome, too.
And...did Lisa actually pee in her diaper during the Wildboyz photo shoot?
Lisa did. [Laughs] Lisa just likes to get a rise out of people. She'll always surprise you no matter what, but she is hilarious. She made parts of the show, because she was so funny and [because of] some of the things she would do.
How was it to be criticized by the judges?
It was hard, because in your everyday life that doesn't happen. You don't stand in front of people and have them say everything that is wrong with you.
Did anything in particular hurt your feelings? When Tyra said that I had the problem of saying "Um, yeah, okay," that really hurt my feelings, because I didn't really realize I was giving off that kind of attitude. So that was something I really tried to change.
From this experience, what did you learn about yourself?
It brought out my competitive side. But I feel so proud that I did this all by myself.
What are you looking forward to most?
Being a CoverGirl model and being repped by Ford. I want to do everything! But I'm not going to lose sight of who I am.
Oh, and, um--what was up with your Chapstick tantrum? Ugh, that's so embarrassing! You gotta have your Chapstick, but I knew I was acting a fool that day. [Laughs]
What is it like to be on the cover of ELLEgirl?
It's bananas! I am so excited to be on the cover of ELLEgirl. It hasn't fully sunk in yet.
